Charming the Gishki
So i want to build a deck using Eira and the Gishki to destroy my opponents deck/hand...how ever i played Gishiki once and i don't really know how to run them well.
i know they can do hand destruction and i want to take full advantage of that...wile stealing there monsters away with Eira. Any advice?

Re: Charming the Gishki
Gishki Charmers?
That sounds kinda interesting actually. I think I could come up with a full deck list later but for now, I can tell you about some of more useful Gishki cards.
Let's see, the must haves are.
Gishki Vision and Shadow - This is how you are going to search for all the Gishki Ritual Monsters and Ritual Magic Cards. They also allow you get the Ritual Monsters on the field.
Gishki Ariel - Allows you to search for any Gishki monster in the deck, plus she is a charmer.
Gishki Beast - Allows you reuse Vision and Shadow as Tributes and is useful for Rank 4 Xyz summons if you need them
Gishki Aquamirror - Your goto Gishki Ritual summon spell
Salvage - Reuse Gishki monsters
Between the Ritual Monsters you can choose
Evigishki Gustkraken - This is the card you were talking about earlier. View two random cards in your opponents hand and you get to discard one.
Evigishki Soul Ogre - Strong beater and allows you clear the field of a troublesome face up card, by discarding a Gishki monster
Evigishki Levianima - Allows you to get an extra draw and if you're lucky you might get to see a card in your opponents hand.
Optional Cards
Gishki Emilia - Protects agaist traps, but only while you have a face up Gishki monster
Gishki Abyss - Another searcher, but I prefer Ariel
Forbidden Arts of the Gishki - Kinda situational but it does allow you to use your opponets monster as tributes. To bad it skips your battle phase and half your Ritual monster's attack
Evigishki Mind Augus- but only if you need to recycle your charmers after they are sent to the grave.
I'm sure I'm missing a couple but those are the ones I can think up off the top of my head. Since I'm not good with Charmers I'll leave that for you to decide.
Maybe you can run a safe zone or two to protect your charmers since they need to be face up on the field for their effect to work.

Re: Charming the Gishki
So Ive tested the deck out and im getting some hand destruction but not the amount of stealing monsters i want. so Ive modified it a bit to add that stall factor into the deck to give my charmers a little more time to steal things.
also maybe a bit more hand/deck destruction ideas if you guys have any.

-Robbin Goblin
-Scrolls
+DNA Transplants
+Duality/Magical Mallet
+Giskhi Abyss (should help the consistency issues)

Re: Charming the Gishki
I think there should be a Gishki Marker.. Then again, you need to somehow stall in case you get a bad start.
Threatening Roar, Waboku...
Then there's the issue of speed... Drawing? Heheheh.. I mean..
You can just use Mind Crush with Dragged down the Grave, if needed... Or... Uh... Moray of Greed, in case you get cards you utterly dislike..
Then you need backrow protection...

Re: Charming the Gishki
I wouldn't really use Marker seeing that Aquamirror recycles itself back into the deck from the graveyard and gives up back a Ritual monster in your hand.
On a side note, do you really find Familiar Possessed Eria useful ? I mean it seems like sending regular Eria and a water monster to the grave is a high cost just to summon a monster with 1850 attack and piercing damage.

even if she isn't SSed she is still higher then most low level monsters...also as a comboSir Ken wrote:I wouldn't really use Marker seeing that Aquamirror recycles itself back into the deck from the graveyard and gives up back a Ritual monster in your hand.

i have one aquamirror in hand and a Shadow but no ritual monsters...say they have 1 card left in hand and i have one mirror in grave with Gustkraken on the field...Eria is in hand as well...summon Eria...send both monsters to grave...SS FP Eria...aquamirror...ritual again kill last card in hand...atk
and like i said FP Eria can be normal ed just with out her effect.

Re: Charming the Gishki
I see, I was just wondering since I was debating whether to put it in my IB Charmer build but that's for another topic.
Well I'm not sure of any other card that could help you now. If you really need more hand destruction you could try Gishki Reliever to bounce back Gustkraken to your hand, and if you have another mirror re summon it.
I'm not too keen on that tactic though, since you would need a combination of multiple mirrors and shadows.
